Sales Account Executive

We are looking for high energy individuals to join us as a Sales Account Executive responsible for selling Connotate products to top Fortune organizations across all industries. Connotate seeks a demonstrated, dynamic, intelligent person to apply our technology and create new solutions for our clients.

A critical success factor for this individual will be the ability to think creatively and problem solve for the best ways to retrieve information from websites.   The individual must welcome the challenge of learning about different business organizations and the challenges they face.

Responsibilities:
Systematically call on top Fortune companies where Connotate expertise is relevant.

  • Ability to sell clients on a Solution.

  • Create new opportunities by using an outbound sales approach

  • Act as relationship manager to new and existing customers to ensure that client expectations are met and exceeded, and provide on-going support to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Proactively pursue sales leads and identify/pursue new client relationships; prepare and deliver effective sales presentations to prospective customers; complement existing relationships.

  • Develop and maintain an active/current list of prospects and develop sales plans for targeted companies; update customer and company contact information; maintain presentations, proposals and general sales records regarding ongoing sales activities.

  • Gather market intelligence and contribute to pricing, packaging, and new opportunities for product development in order to meet changing client needs.

  • Manage the full sales life cycle encompassing identification, face-to-face presentation to key decision-makers, responses to requests for proposals, contract negotiations, successful close and client support.

  • Provide daily/weekly/monthly reports to the Sales Manager as required and participate in ongoing training and developmental programs.

Professional Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must possess:

  • At least seven years’ experience with a minimum of five years of enterprise software sales preferably in the major Fortune industry sectors.
  • Demonstrated record of creating new opportunities using outbound techniques.

  • An intimate knowledge of and experience in selling enterprise software solutions and SaaS, preferably by virtue of a subscription-based model.

  • Understanding of at least one of our major markets, including publishing, media, financial services, Government, and pharmaceutical.  Knowledge of industry  research products and services as well as broader industry experience is a plus.

  • Demonstrated success in the full sales life cycle encompassing prospecting, cold calling, qualifying prospective customers, assessing client needs, utilizing strong closing techniques and maintaining those relationships.

  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills with the facility to communicate clearly and effectively. Ability to initiate the sales process through a succinct and targeted phone presentation plus strong communication skills for one-on-one and large group presentations.

  • A demonstrated track record of consistent communication with clients, both on the phone and in person.

  • A high level of motivation; the drive to take initiative and to work both independently and as a team member; a self-starter.

  • Strong business development experience with the ability to sell in to (and represent Connotate) at all levels within an organization.

  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of activity to reach an aggressive set of sales goals and objectives.

  • Proficiency in synthesizing feedback from prospects and clients and communicating back to Connotate with input for continuous product improvement.

  • Exceptional ability to proactively identify client needs and provide sound solutions.

  • Superior follow-through skills.

  • Ability to work with structure, focus, and determination under minimum supervision.

Education: A bachelor's degree is required. An MBA is a plus.

Solutions Architect

Job Description: Launch your career with a high-growth web software company winning awards for its innovative, patented technology!  Connotate is changing the way businesses leverage information from the Web and Enterprise.  Connotate seeks a seasoned, dynamic, insightful person to engage with clients, envision innovative, integrated solutions using our product and provide stewardship for the delivery of those solutions.

A critical success factor for this individual will be the ability to think creatively and rapidly apply knowledge of a broad spectrum of software technologies in pursuit of customer solutions.  The individual must welcome the challenge of learning about different business organizations and the challenges they face.

Connotate needs a confident presenter with excellent verbal skills who can prepare and structure our software solutions to present to executive level decision makers within Fortune 1,000 companies as well as government organizations. Duties include synthesizing and developing responses to complex customer requests for proposals, presenting demonstrations to executive level officers, and building proof-of-concept applications using the latest software tools to highlight Connotate applications.

Professional Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must possess:

  • At least seven years’ experience with a minimum of three years as a Solutions Architect.

  • An intimate knowledge of and experience in supporting enterprise software solutions.  Experience with SaaS and subscription based models is a plus.

  • Understanding of at least one of our major markets, including publishing, media, financial services, Government, and pharmaceutical.  Experience addressing complex data problems in those industries is a plus.

  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills with the facility to communicate clearly and effectively.

  • Broad market knowledge in several of the following areas:  content acquisition, text mining, text analytics, enterprise search, natural language processing, business intelligence, web harvesting, unstructured data.

  • Experience with HTML, XML, JavaScript, C# and .Net based solutions is required.

  • A demonstrated track record of consistent communication with clients, both on the phone and in person.  Examples of becoming a customer’s trusted advisor are required.

  • A high level of motivation; the drive to take initiative and to work both independently and as a team member; a self-starter.

  • Strong business development experience with the ability to sell in to (and represent Connotate) at all levels within an organization.

  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of activity to reach an aggressive set of project goals and objectives.
